Citation FAQ
These are the most common citation questions asked in the library. This page should be used as a general reference, only. Most of the AVL databases have citation guidelines for MLA. Some even cover APA and Turabian. However, since citation format is in a state of flux, it is always appropriate to check the citation handbook (all major handbooks are on reserve in the library) and check with your instructor. Remember: Your instructor is the final word as to what is appropriate.
How to cite web pages is listed in the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers. The latest edition of this is available in the library. If you need immediate help, please refer to Purdue's OWL page:

Remember to check your work against the manual next time you are in the library.
